Most builds run six to twelve weeks from deposit to handover, although these times may vary depending on workload so please speak with our team during booking to get accurate lead times for your build. A straightforward tray sits at the short end. A paint-matched service body with racks, power and a crane sits at the long end.
The clock starts at deposit because that is when you get a slot in the schedule. Your ute does not need to be with us for most of that time, only for fitting.
If a build is going to slip, you hear it from us rather than finding out on the date you were promised.
The Process
What happens between deposit and handover
- Design conversation: what you carry and how you load it
- Layout confirmed and tare weight worked out against your GVM
- Materials ordered and cut
- Fabrication and welding in-house in Coffs Harbour
- Finishing: raw, powder coat or paint match
- Fitting to your ute, usually a short workshop visit
- Handover and walk-through of the build

Lead time questions
How long will my ute be off the road?
Only for fitting, not the whole build. Most of the fabrication happens before your ute needs to come in.
What makes a build take longer?
Paint matching, complex compartment layouts, cranes, tanks and any bought-in parts on back order.
Can you rush a build?
Sometimes, depending on the schedule. Ask when you enquire and we will tell you honestly rather than promise a date we cannot hold.
