One-size-fits-all doesn't fit anyone
A ute tray isn't just a flat deck — it's the platform every other piece of gear bolts to. Get the layout wrong and you fight it every day: tools in the wrong place, straps too short, gear sliding around, water pooling where it shouldn't.
Every Camesco tray starts with a conversation about what you carry and how you load it. Then we design around your specific ute — GVM, cab shape, chassis rails, factory tie-downs — and fabricate it in-house from Marine grade 5052 aluminium.
The result is a tray that earns its weight every day, doesn't rust, and comes with a lifetime warranty on all workmanship completed by us.

FAQ
Custom ute tray questions
How much does a custom ute tray cost?
Custom aluminium ute trays from Camesco start around $8,000, with our Heavy Duty Tray package from $12,999. Final pricing depends on your ute, tie-down layout, under-tray boxes and headboard options.
How long does it take to build a custom ute tray?
Most custom trays take 6–12 weeks from deposit to handover, although these times may vary depending on workload so please speak with our team during booking to get accurate lead times for your build. Standard builds sit at the shorter end; complex layouts and paint-matched work take longer.
Why choose a custom tray over an off-the-shelf one?
Off-the-shelf trays are built for the average ute. A custom tray is designed around your specific vehicle, the gear you carry and the way you load it — so nothing gets in the way, nothing rattles loose, and every millimetre of the deck earns its keep.
What material do you build ute trays from?
Marine grade 5052 aluminium with 316 stainless hardware wherever possible. It handles salt spray, corrugations and daily site abuse without rusting or fatiguing.
