    Why Marine-Grade

    The material choice matters

Cheap canopies use general-purpose aluminium and mild steel hardware. It looks the same on day one. Two winters of salt air, corrugated tracks and pressure washing later, the difference shows: fatigue cracks around the hinges, corrosion on the fasteners, seals that no longer seat.

Every Camesco canopy is built from Marine grade 5052 aluminium with 316 stainless hinges, gas struts and hardware. The same specs commercial marine builders use for boats that live in salt water.

Combined with sealed doors, drained floors and welded seams, that means a canopy that stays dry, stays quiet, and stays working for the life of the ute.

    FAQ

    Aluminium canopy questions

How much does an aluminium ute canopy cost?

Custom aluminium canopies from Camesco start around $9,999 for our standard build and $15,000+ for fully-fitted setups. Pricing depends on door configuration, internal fit-out and any power/water systems.

What aluminium do you use for canopies?

Marine grade 5052 aluminium sheet with 316 stainless hinges, gas struts and hardware. Same materials as commercial marine work — it handles coastal use without corroding.

Are your canopies weatherproof and dust sealed?

Yes. Every canopy runs full perimeter dust and water seals on the doors, welded seams, and drainage where it matters. We build for corrugated roads and coastal weather, not showroom photos.

Can I get 2 or 3 door canopies?

Both. Two-door canopies suit a simpler tool layout and cost less; three-door canopies give you side access from either side and a rear door — better for tradies who work out of the ute all day.
