    The Honest Bit

The gear is the expensive part

A survey ute carries relatively little, but what it carries is fragile, expensive and highly stealable. The build has to protect it from dust, water, vibration and other people.

We build padded, dust-sealed instrument compartments with proper locks, and dedicated carriers for tripods and staffs so they stop rattling around the deck.

Because these utes spend time on rough access tracks, we pay particular attention to how the instrument compartments are isolated from the chassis.

    FAQ

    Surveyors questions

    What setup suits survey work?

A canopy is usually enough: sealed, lockable and dry. Canopies start from $9,999, service bodies from $16,999 if you want outside compartment access.

Can you build padded instrument storage?

Yes, sized to your specific cases and isolated from direct chassis vibration.

    How secure are the locks?

We fit high-security locks keyed alike across compartments. Locks are bought-in parts and run on the maker’s warranty.
